Horseback Tours

Flora & fauna of the Miraflor

Guided walks with local expert Aldos can be arranged for you through Finca Neblina Del Bosque. Depending on your interests and level of fitness, Aldos can design the perfect Miraflor excursion for you, discovering some of the 220+ tree species or more than 200 types of flowers that call the Miraflor home.

With over 20 years of experience leading tours in the area, Aldos is also studying and supporting local research into the biodiversity of the region and Nicaragua, meaning there is no better guide to help you understand the unique ecosystem.

Birds of the Miraflor

There are few people better placed to help you discover the species of birds that call the Miraflor home than Fransisco Muñoz. As author of the popular guide, 'Birds of Nicaragua' - there's almost nothing about the birds of this region that Fransisco doesn't know!

For those determined to spot a resplendent quetzal or the national bird of Nicaragua, the Turquoise-browed Motmot, Fransisco can bring his local knowledge and experience to help discover them during your tour.

For bird watching tours we recommend an early start to increase the likelihood of seeing a variety of species.

We're the perfect backdrop to days spent reading in hammocks, relaxed yoga, sipping coffee in one of our garden alcoves or sketching birds, butterflies and flowers in our beautiful gardens.
